Wedding Florals | Price Indication Guide

When it comes to your floral spend, we pride ourselves on being able to create beautiful florals whatever your budget may be,  our minimum spend is our Elopement Package as described further along this page.

Below is a price indication guide based on average spends,  however, we are a creative bunch! We can always come up with alternative suggestions to fit a smaller or larger budget. We are totally flexible to work with and design your florals to an amount that you feel comfortable spending.

Our pricing indications below are current for the season ending May 2023. Our prices are listed in $NZD and exclude NZ Goods & Services Tax @ 15% (GST)

Elopement Packages

Our elopement package includes a seasonal hand-tied bouquet and matching buttonhole. We include complimentary delivery to all local Queenstown area delivery zones at a time that suits. This package is $350.

We also offer an upgraded package - this package is as above, but includes beautiful billowing, natural plant-dyed silk ribbons. These ribbons are ideal to save from your bouquet as a beautiful keepsake. This Package is $500.

Ladies - we can design 2 beautiful bouquets for you at either $650 incl delivery OR upgrading to silk ribbons is $800

Men - 2 matching buttonholes is $80 OR 2 different styled buttonholes is $100 incl delivery

General Pricing

Bridal Party Flowers

  • Brides Bouquet | $250 - $300 based on seasonally available mixed blooms, or $250 for Long stem rose Bouquet

  • Bridesmaids Bouquets | $180 - $200 for smaller versions of the brides bouquet, or $160 for Long stem rose bouquets. We can also offer smaller " Hand-Cluster Bouquets" from $120 each and our signature " Single Bloom Bouquets" from $40 each.

  • Flower Girls | Smaller versions of bridesmaids bouquets from $80 each, Single Bloom Bouquets from $40 each.

  • Hair Flowers | Individually Wired Loose Blooms from $45 per person. Small floral hair " clusters" from $50 per person. Greenery Babies Breath Crowns from $70 per person | Asymmetric or" Light Floral" Crowns from $120 per person. Full Circumference or " Heavy Floral" Crowns from $150 per person.

  • Mens Buttonholes | $25 each for simple | $35 each for elaborate.

  • Ladies Corsages | $50 for Wrist or Shoulder Corsages | $40 for more simple "Ladies Buttonhole"

Ceremony Florals

  • Archway/ Arbour Frame Hire | from $250-$300 incl. delivery for most options

  • Arch Florals - simple options from $300 > elaborate designs from $1500-$2000 +

  • Aisle Chair Florals - simple options from $20 each > $60 each for small floral posies

  • Grounded Aisle Florals - smaller options for end of each row of chairs from $150-$250 each. Larger grounded features for start of aisle from $250>$500 each

  • Altar area Pedestal or Wine Barrel Arrangements | from $220 > $1000+ depending on style/volume required.

  • Guest Rose Petal Shower | $3 per guest ( supplied loose in hired basket)

  • Aisle Petals | $150 average amount

  • Signing Table arrangement | $150 average > $600 for cascading garland.

We always aim to design the florals for your ceremony to be relocatable to your reception for additional decoration afterwards.

Reception Florals

  • Bridal Table Florals | often we suggest using your bridal/bridesmaids bouquets in hired vases, along with some beautiful candles for your head table. Alternatively, we can create a beautiful greenery or floral garland, or a cluster of florals and candles to trail all along. Pricing dependant on length of table and scale of decoration required.

  • Guest Table Florals | Again, this is an area that we can design to meet your budget. A good indication however is to allow a budget of around $15-$20 per guest. This would equate to $1500-$2000 for a reception of 100 guests.

  • Cake Flowers | We will work alongside your chosen cake-maker as to what will be required. Often, we'll supply an average amount of $60 worth of prepared, wired and taped loose blooms to decorate the cake. Alternatively we can quote for anything specific that is required.

  • Suspended Displays | Cost is dependant on size, logistics, frame-work and rigging required, and the timeframe to complete. In general, if there is already a suspended frame in place ( such as venues like The Hayes Room @ Stoneridge or Lake June Marquee @ NZ High Country ) suspended florals start from $900-$1000 for greenery only. Larger volumes of florals to be added in can increase the spend to $1200> $2000 + dependant on scale. If a suspended feature is required we will discuss all logistics and associated costs during the consultation period.

Service Fees

  • Bridal Flower Delivery to your accommodation | On the day is scheduled for a time suitable for you and carried out by our own delivery and floral assistants. Our delivery fee is $50 for the first location and $25 for additional locations thereafter. If you are preparing at your wedding venue, and you have engaged us for your ceremony + reception  floral set up onsite, we do not charge any additional bridal flower delivery.

  • Onsite Florist Set Up Fees | is charged at $75 per floral stylist required onsite. If additional floral "assistants" are required to ensure set up can be completed within the timeframe allocated the fee is $45 per assistant required. Vehicle mileage is included in the above unless we are required to travel further than our general local areas, in which case we will provide a quote for mileage and any additional fees associated with longer-distance services required.

  • Following Day Pack-Out/ Collection fees | are charged @ $75 per hour. If "floral-related"rubbish is to be removed from your venue we charge $50 for rubbish removal unless there is a very large quantity required to be removed, in which case a quote will be provided.  We highly recommend that you organise your florals to be collected from your venue and gifted, re-used or donated afterwards. Let us know if you need any recommendations.

  • Additional Charges | May apply if any items that are hired, borrowed or sub-hired through The Flower Room are missing, or damaged. All items that are supplied by The Flower Room must remain onsite at the venue for collection or returned to our studio if arranged within 2 days from the event. Additional charges may apply if items are removed from the venue without prior consent, and if we have to track down their whereabouts.
